Members of Black Aegis P.M.C., are expected to uphold the following standards:
Professionalism
When representing Black Aegis P.M.C. — whether during unit operations, other community events, or in outside spaces such as other units or public platforms — members are expected to conduct themselves with professionalism. Maintain a mature and respectful attitude and avoid behaviour that reflects poorly on the unit.
Respectful Conduct — Treat others with respect regardless of rank, role, experience, or affiliations.
Presentation — When actively representing the unit in any capacity, do not engage in actions that would embarrass or discredit the unit.
Common Sense — Banter is welcome in the right time and place, but should never come at the expense of others' enjoyment or the unit's reputation.
Profile & Identity — To maintain consistency and professionalism in communications, members must follow these profile requirements:
Unique & Pronounceable — Names must be unique within the unit and consist of a single pronounceable word for clear communications.
No Special Characters — Only standard letters (A–Z) and language specific accents are permitted. Avoid numbers, punctuation, or symbols.
Rank Tag — Begin with the correct rank abbreviation (e.g., Cdt. Bob)
Formatting — Include a period after the rank abbreviation, a space before the name, and proper captitalisation.
Consistency — Use the same username across related platforms (Discord, TeamSpeak 3, Arma 3).
Community Etiquette
Black Aegis P.M.C. values open discussion and mature conduct. We do not censor opinions or beliefs, but members are expected to act responsibly in how they express themselves. Personal conflicts, grudges, or disagreements must never overshadow our purpose: enjoying Arma together as a community.
Respect Differences — You are free to express your views, but respect that others may hold different opinions. Heated or controversial topics (politics, religion, culture, sex, etc.) are not forbidden, but must stay in designated channels and be handled with maturity.
Conflict Resolution — Disagreements should be settled directly and respectfully. If resolution is not possible, agree to disagree and move on. Dragging drama into operations, Discord, or other community spaces will not be tolerated.
No Censorship, No Babysitting — Leadership will not police speech or play referee. Members are expected to handle their own disputes like adults.
Hard Limits — While discussion is open, some actions are strictly forbidden and will result in immediate disciplinary action or outright removal:
Personal Information — Sharing or threatening to share another person's private information without their consent (doxxing).
NSFW — Posting pornographic, obscene or shock content in public areas of the community.
Malicious Disruption — Flooding chats, spamming images or text, or otherwise derailing conversations to disrupt community spaces.
Bullying — Direct, repeated attempts to attack or single out another member with the intent to drive them away or make them feel uncomfortable.
Operations Conduct
During operations, members are expected to maintain discipline, professionalism, and respect for the mission makers and their efforts in creating an immersive environment. Operations are collective efforts where cohesion, communication, and adherence to procedure ensure both effectiveness and enjoyment for everyone attending.
Weapon Discipline — Weapons are expected to have their safety enabled while in base or designated staging areas (spawn). Discharging firearms in these areas is prohibited, as it may trigger AI or disrupt preparations. Intentional Friendly Fire will not be tolerated under any circumstance. Accidental incidents must be reported immediately.
Chain of Command — Orders issued by team leaders, section leaders and higher command during operations are to be followed. Any grievances with leadership can be brought up during the debrief or with a Human Resources representative to be resolved outside of operations.
Briefing — All members must adhere to the stated rules and restrictions as written in the operation's briefing. This includes the Rules of Engagement, objectives, and equipment restrictions.
Teamwork — Members are to remain with their assigned fireteam, maintain buddy pairs, and support their section at all times. Operating independently of one’s team (“lone-wolfing”) is strictly prohibited, except in the rare circumstance of being the sole survivor of a team. In such cases, the member’s immediate objective is to regroup with the nearest friendly element and re-join their team as soon as possible.
Immersion and Conduct — Members are expected to take operations seriously, maintaining focus appropriate to the scenario. Banter is acceptable only at appropriate times and must not interfere with immersion, communication, or the flow of the mission.
Fair Play — The use of cheats, immersion breaking exploits, or loopholes to gain an unfair advantage is strictly prohibited.
Content Creation
Black Aegis P.M.C. supports and encourages streaming, recording, and creative use of media that showcases the unit. To maintain both professionalism and comfort within the community, the following rules apply:
Streaming & Recording — Allowed during operations and community events, provided it does not disrupt gameplay.
Training & Qualifications — Streaming or recording is not permitted during training sessions or qualification courses, to ensure participants can focus on learning and self-improvement without feeling uncomfortable.
Official Branding — Official Black Aegis P.M.C. branding (logos, patches, etc.) may be used for content directly related to the unit.
Media Sharing — Content related to Black Aegis P.M.C. (such as clips, screenshots, or recordings) and shared in unit spaces is considered available for use by other members for compilations, highlights, memes, edits, or other content provided credit is given where appropriate.
Commitment
Black Aegis P.M.C. values reliability. We do not enforce a minimum attendance requirement, but we do expect members to communicate and commit responsibly to the unit schedule.
Attendance Notice — Members must sign up for each weekly operation in the designated channel. If unable to attend, a leave of absence notice must be posted no later than 24 hours before step-off. The sooner notice is given, the better, as this makes it easier for leadership and Mission Design to plan deployment orders effectively.
Multi-Clanning — Members may participate in other units or communities, provided those commitments do not conflict with Black Aegis P.M.C. main operation times. Joining another unit that runs events during our Wednesday operations is not permitted.
Strike System — Failure to notify of absence in timely fashion results in a strike. Strikes accumulate with continued failures:
Expulsion — Receiving a third strike results in the immediate removal from the unit.
Pardon — One strike is removed for attending an operation, continued attendance removes strikes until the record returns to zero.
Warning — A warning is issued only for each first strike received, there will be no further communication following the second or third strike.
Veterancy — Members unable to participate for an extended period may request transfer to Veteran status. Veterans are not considered active duty and may not join operations, but their qualifications, awards, and enlisted rank are preserved. Returning to active duty within 6 months restores full standing. After 6 months, Veterans are discharged on friendly terms, retaining their history with the unit. Special exceptions to veterancy rules may be applied on a case-by-case basis.
